Kendal Street planter and mural

At the junction of Kendal Street and Porchester Place, 12 metres of planters were added with pollinator-friendly plants. The adjacent wall was later painted with a floral mural by a local artist, increasing the vibrancy of the space year-round.

At Kendal Street, 12 metres of planters were installed along previously unused wall space, filled with pollinator-friendly plants to bring more greenery to the Hyde Park Estate and encourage pollinators to the area.

More recently, the adjacent wall was transformed with a vibrant green and floral mural by Shelley the Artist, a local resident with experience working across the Estate and the wider West End. The mural complements the planters and ties together the visual greening of the space.

There has been an observed increase in pollinator activity around the planters. The mural’s creation and installation were documented on Shelley’s Instagram page, highlighting community involvement and engagement with the project.
